A Complete Guide for Sims 4 Download Crack, Install And Feature
- Hey, I've read online somewhere (maybe twitter?) That there won't be a sims 4 launcher, the game will be started from Origin. I'm a bit concerned about this because the other day I tried to play the CAS demo from my desktop shortcut with no internet and it wouldn't let me because I couldn't log in to Origin. So will this mean we HAVE to be connected to the Internet to play TS4 at all?

Cracked Sims 4 Origin Error
- yes you will loging through origin graham said this I believe3
- No launcher, but Origin is required to be on to play it, and I hate it. Origin causes so many problems on my laptop. Maxing out one of my computer cores for no reason at all.
As for Origin, you can put origin in offline mode. - 7
- I just launched Origin in offline mode, and it allowed me to launch the CAS demo. I was able to edit sims already in my library, but of course, could access any gallery functions for obvious reasons. I think it should be fine. Try launching origin again, and check the pop up about no internet connection to see if it gives you an option to open it in offline mode.
- I can play the demo without internet but I think there will be a shortcut placed on your desktop that you can launch from just as the demo.
- edited August 2014Hmm, I thought for some reason you only had to register through origin, and that if you had a physical copy after you could run it from the disk. I thought I read that somewhere but it could've been someone just speculating. That's disappointing. I have similar issues with Origin and I simply do not like relying on a program to run my games. Just personal preference.
Sims 4 FAQ says the following :
'4. Does The Sims 4 require the Origin™ client to play?
You will need an EA/Origin account to install the game. Once installed, you don't need to be online to play.'
http://help.ea.com/en/article/the-sims-4-general-information/#4
However, it just says you don't have to be online, which I guess would mean you open Origin through offline mode? - Origin can be launched in offline mode if necessary.
Basically what will happen is that you will absolutely need an internet connection long enough to install the game and register your copy (if you don't have a stable one at home, you can use a public connection at a Library, Starbucks or McDonald's or anywhere else that has wi-fi available for free or purchase). After that, an internet connection is required if you plan to use things like the Gallery frequently, otherwise you no longer need the internet connection.
You will need to keep Origin though. When you launch the game for the first time without an internet connection, you should get a message asking if you would like to go into offline mode. Click yes and Origin should open, tell you are now offline, and then the game will launch. Origin will remain in offline mode until you connect to internet or manually tell it to go online.Visit my tumblr for all my custom content creations: the-stories-sims-tell.tumblr.com
It's supposed to be a competitor for Steam. It's kind of how things are anymore. Honestly they are fantastic once you get used to it. No more discs to have to keep hanging out to launch games from and less icon clutter on the desktop. All your games in one convenient place. I know people mistrust digital programs and features keeping track of your stuff, I hated it in the beginning too but have grown to love not having to pile icons or use discs to launch and verify.Hmm, I thought for some reason you only had to register through origin, and that if you had a physical copy after you could run it from the disk. That makes sense. It's silly of me because I trust Steam just fine. I don't know why I feel like I have to have a physical copy of Sims. I would probably save myself some trouble! I'm sure I'll get there by the next Sims game lol- edited August 2014There is ways around this IE to remove origin requirement. That's what I will do. I get to decide if I want to run with origin open or not, sorry dudes. What's funny is that I don't even care about origin like others do, I play 99% of my games either through Steam or Origin. But I don't like being 'required' to do anything.

NVM me apparently I have a work around that allows me to do that. lol haven't played a steam game in a year anyways. - It's supposed to be a competitor for Steam. It's kind of how things are anymore.
Except Steam doesn't require you to be online for most of their games. The ones that do require it are because the company requires it, not steam. I can play Civ 5 without ever logging into Steam. Origin needs to get with the program.
Neither does Origin. As I posted earlier, I launched CAS with Origin in offline mode just fine. - It's supposed to be a competitor for Steam. It's kind of how things are anymore.

Talking about not being signed into origin at all. Sometimes I just don't want those programs opened while I'm playing. As I said though apparently I have a work around for Steam that let's me do that. I have the same for most origin games I play too. Basically, I don't want to be forced to be signed into their programs. shrug. - It's supposed to be a competitor for Steam. It's kind of how things are anymore.

Fair enough, I never really though about not wanting to open Origin at all. I like using it as my launcher, because I have one icon on my desktop for multiple games, rather than a bunch of individual icons.

Depends on how you open the game. For example, I play Banished which I got from Steam. If I launch the game from my Steam library, Steam stays open in the background for me. If I launch from the desktop icon, Steam does not open. Origin works the same way. Origin will stay open if you launch from your library, otherwise it won't open unless it tells you it needs to be set to offline mode. In which case it opens to show you that it is now in offline mode.Visit my tumblr for all my custom content creations: the-stories-sims-tell.tumblr.com

Most of the time it doesn't bug me, but sometimes I just don't want to sign in or deal with having to do it. Having them open does take some resources too that could be better used IE playing music while I game. Sometimes you can close them after launch, but usually it crashes it. I think forcing it usually makes it less likely people will want to use it. Though between steam and origin, origin does run better on resources. So for anyone worried I find origin less of a hassle (aside from all the spying of course) than steam.

Hmm I'll have to try that. I usually open them via Windows 8.1 search. Just type in the name and they find it. I hardly ever launch from the desktop.- I tried launching the demo from my shortcut on my desk top and Origin opens and makes me sign in. Is there any way to stop origin from playing in the background? I hope we can launch Sims 4 from a .exe file if we buy the disc.My Drifter Challenge

Orgin ID: Glimmer50 - Oh I never knew I could launch it in offline mode, thanks for letting me know! I never use origin at all except for backing up my TS3 games so I b don't know much about it. Glad I won't need the Internet for TS4 then, I'm usually connected but if our internet is down I always play the sims instead0
- I have a major question!!
I plum up. I wanted to go back into online mode, and I couldn't figure it out. So I ended up reinstalling origin, and then tried to login, but it told me I needed to be in online mode to sign in for the first time--
I can't play my sims 4 game until I log in..
Please help, I really want to play. (I payed 60 plum dollars) - 0

I can't. That's what got me into this situation in the first place.
Because I was stuck in offline mode, I can't get into online mode to log in, because it's a requirement to login for the 'first time', it says. - Did you try login in from the Origin website? Worth a shot.0
